Coco by Unopiù designed by Andrea Andretta

Unopiù adds a contemporary twist to a 1970’s style in a furniture collection steeped in beauty and tradition. Named Coco, the outdoor piece found inspiration in the first metal-framed chairs with nylon strands, that were once found outside of restaurants and cafe’s across all of Italy. The design from Andrea Andretta embodies the warm feeling of sitting on these chairs and people-watching while enjoying an espresso or spritz. Unopiù recovers this heritage in a colorful and fresh collection that remembers the roots of Italian identity.

Coco’s nostalgic look-back at 1970’s italian design

With Coco, the company Unopiù aims to capture the Italian essence of outdoor design and lifestyle. The collection comprises a 20mm tubular metal frame and a round polyolefin cord, criss-crossed tightly around it. The patchworked pattern is at the heart of the entire Coco range. The aesthetic harmony between the cord and the structure creates a visually satisfying design, suitable for any environment; from private use in a quiet garden to hospitality service in busy urban areas.

Unopiù’s Coco composes five furniture elements

The tribute to Italian style is composed of five elements across the entire collection: a chair, a small armchair, a footrest, a two-seater sofa and a coffee table. With Coco, Unopiù invites users to step outside into the open air, and enjoy sharing moments of conviviality and relaxation, aided by a line of products characterized by a strong identity while embracing the tradition of Italian design.
