unimatic watches was born out of italian creatives’ simone nunziato and giovanni moro’s passion for vintage and contemporary timepieces; and the desire to bring aspects of these two worlds together. a result of continued research, combining good design with iconic watch elements, outfitted with the latest technical solutions, the company’s debut chronometer ‘modello uno’ offers a perfect balance between quality and price.

functioning as a professional diver watch, ‘modello uno’ provides a water resistance of up to 300 meters

made entirely in italy, ‘modello uno’ is defined by a 40mm solid stainless steel case of alternating polished and brushed surfaces overtopped by a thin, raised unidirectional timing bezel; and further characterized by a finely knurled straight line pattern across it. the matte dark grey dial of ‘modello uno’ is painted with contrasting Super-LumiNova® C3 lume, and exhibits a graphic design composed of minimal semantic elements that provide at-a-glance readability, and instantly orientate the user in whatever scenario or lighting conditions they might find themselves in. the military-inspired ladder hands are bold and positioned below a double-domed anit-reflective sapphire crystal display completing the face of the watch. it is finished by oversized downward curved guards that protect the large 8mm screw-down crown.

functioning as a professional diver watch, ‘modello uno’ employs a 2mm screwed-in caseback that together with high quality gaskets, provides a water resistance of up to 300 meters (1000 feet = 30atm WR). the design’s time-telling accuracy is guaranteed by seiko’s NH35A automatic watch movement tuned to 216000 bph, that is further equipped with a bi-directional rotor and hand-winding feature. together with a generous 41h power reserve and hacking second hands, the result is perfect time synchronization.
