tokujin yoshioka presents sparkle lounge at tokyo midtown design touch

the atrium of tokyo midtown has been taken over by a shimmering installation where visitors to DESIGN TOUCH 2014 can sit, relax and contemplate. the ‘sparkle lounge’ conceived by tokujin yoshioka, showcases an arrangement of the stools and side tables that the japanese creative developed with kartell, after which the exhibition is also named (see more about tokujin yoshioka’s ‘sparkle’ collection for kartell on designboom here).

the rows of ‘sparkle’ furniture pieces are situated in front of a large window where they can shine and refract light off of their prism surfaces, just like crystal glass. ‘sparkle lounge’ is on show at tokyo midtown DESIGN TOUCH until october 26th, 2014.
