witness a surreal transportation into an ecstatically fragrant world as TOILETPAPAPER magazine collaborates with luxury cosmetic manufacturer LA BOTTEGA for the 2022 beauty and leisure wear collection. the two italian brands combine to produce boundless personal care products and sleep line clothing. in stimulating colors and visionary characteristic of the image-only editorial project conceived by maurizio cattelan and pierpaolo ferrari, the line of pajamas, slippers, beauty kits, gels, oils, and home fragrances radically detaches from the traditional aesthetics of the industry.

TOILETPAPER is the result of a diverse collection of eye-catching narratives that turn reality into surreal imagery. in a collaboration, the artistry of the magazine meets LA BOTTEGA – the world leading company that designs and manufactures items dedicated to the hotel industry world. from hair conditioners to hand gels, body oils, soaps, cosmetics and home perfumes, the world of beauty is permeated as the made in italy products engage all the five senses.

‘TOILETPAPER began ten years ago with pierpaolo’s and my desire for a place where we can give space to our ideas and intuitions, freeing ourselves from the rules of the worlds we come from,’ says founding artist maurizio cattelan. ‘we started with magazine shoots and launch parties for the new issues; then the photographs infiltrated other worlds and objects. we now go further, launching our beauty collection with LA BOTTEGA, conceived and developed together in all parts and phases,’ continues photographer and co-founder pierpaolo ferrari.

pamper-up with the TOILETPAPER BEAUTY EXPERIENCE

from the study of each element down to the design and packaging, the beauty line consists of a variety of objects. the renowned mixologist oscar quagliarini experimented to give rise to an olfactory experience to the collection’s fragrancies. HAIR, including a shampoo and conditioner, is the result of a daring combination between vanilla and sichuan pepper. for the BATH & BODY shower gel and body lotion the turkish rose complements the earth green rosemary blend, while the body oil and scrub give off a more classic, floral construction. the soap and lotion for the HANDS is a mix of almond and beeswax for a soft texture, while the gel cleanser/spray is scented with tuberose and tea tree’s antiseptic effects. the TOILETPAPER beauty experience also extends to the HOME line with perfumes and diffusers – including a dish soap as well.

complete sets from nightgowns to matching pairs of slippers and eye masks are the ‘chilling-in’ mantra of 2022. the iconic snakes graphic seamlessly flows over the items in black, white or stripes. in a long or short version, the pajamas consist of a button shirt and trousers, all in 100% cotton satin for the most comfortable look. together with the travel kit set, each outfit is bound to leave its mark on any trip. the leisure wear collection also includes towels, socks, pareos and a kimono robe option as the line entails bathroom, beach, sleep and lifestyle products.
