TARKETT brings nature's beauty indoors with ultra-realistic vinyl floor collection

finesse, precision and breadth: Tarkett’s new flooring, manufactured in high definition digital printing, captures nature’s beauty with immaculate detail and quality. from contemporary to classic and from soft to striking, the iD inspiration collection comprises ultra-realistic modular vinyl decors, also called luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), that reveals even the most subtle variations in grain, texture and color. an installation at the flooring manufacturer’s paris-based showroom demonstrates how easily the products can be adapted to fit hospitality, educational, workspace, residential and retail environments. the novelty ensures a rich range of interior resources for designers and architects.

with a history of 140 years in the flooring industry, TARKETT continues to break ground. using nature’s imperfections and nuances, iD inspiration natural decors is scanned directly from a meticulously selected specimen of wood and stone. unlike traditional tiling, the cutting-edge technology ensures that each plank is unique in pattern and grain making renderings non-repetitive up to 12 sqm (50 planks), and essentially extremely realistic.

more on sustainability, made in Europe, iD inspiration has been designed with circular economy in mind: glue down tiles contain up to 40.7% recycled content and all installation offcuts can be recycled through TARKETT’s restart^® take-back and recycling programme. post-use, the clickable tiles can be further recycled through restart^®. the flooring product is phthalate-free, printed with water-based inks and it contributes to optimal indoor air quality. designed considering both people and the planet, iD inspiration is an illustration of the TARKETT human-conscious design^™ philosophy.

the company raises the bar by introducing an ultra matt finish fabricated with high resistance levels. this tektanium™ PU coating restricts light reflections, making the tiles seem more natural. moreover, extra protection from scratches, abrasions, or stains gives excellent durability making the products ideal even for the most intensive commercial uses.

from march 2021, the collection has been imagined as an immersive and narrative-led installation at the atelier TARKETT in paris designed by french creative studio 5·5. infinite possibilities of the products unravel through the space, celebrating nature’s landscapes and realness, and merging beauty together with raw quality. from a marquetry of marble and breccia to a plethora of wood gradients, the designs showcase lifelike alternatives. in the collection, versatility takes a grand scale with different colors and textures that offer countless ideas ranging from a forest in a university to a cave-like concept store. in essence, the new collection’s palette brings nature and the outdoors into interiors.
