designed by milan-based studio klass for fiam italia, ‘foulard’, the glass shelving collection is conceived as a modular system allowing for several configurations to be placed the wall. the archetype of shelves – traditionally seen in horizontal planes – are reinterpreted in three-dimension, featuring curved surfaces formed using fiam’s advanced production technolgy that wraps to enclose objects inside. a sequence of material deformations creates the illusion of different transparencies, which are amplified when installed as a series.
