focusing on the simple aesthetics and discrete detail of geometric curves and organic volumes, montreal-based designer loïc bard has developed a series of solid maple table lamps and fixtures. coated with a white natural oil finish, the lights are influenced by childhood memories from a trip to japan. for instance, the ‘toû lamp’ references a kinetic effect from frozen winter rain and the ‘yau lamp’ is modeled after water dripping from blooming cherry trees in the spring.
