‘palette’ is the third collaboration between belgian designers sofie lachaert and luc d’hanis for nodus.
the rug is crafted from more than 950 000 knots to form an artist palette, consisting of 266 colors, a count which has never been reached before. the piece is influenced by the italian fresco, in which they have filled their ‘palette’ with soft colors – some white, light pink and smudges of intense blue, soft green.
‘palette’ alongside matali crasset’s ‘roots’ for nodus will be on show at the scenes d’interieur at maison et objet in paris from january 21st to 25th, 2011.
