in honor of the company’s milestone, snøhetta designed the exhibition and book set, titled ‘folk+form’. through exhibited work, art pieces, film, text and photography, the installation and books pay tribute to vestre’s design and commitment to make quality and sustainability accessible on a global scale. past works by vestre include urban furniture interventions in important public spaces such as times square in new york and at king’s cross, london.

snøhetta’s close relationship with vestre’s work led to a thoughtful and detailed representation of the furniture brand’s graphic identity. having been involved in both the design of vestre’s production facility of torsby (2013) and the refurbishment of the company’s headquarters and showroom (2017), the firm applies and synthesizes previous concepts and work of a 70-year old brand into both exhibition and books. the exhibit will be on view at DogA (the norwegian center for design and architecture) until september 3, 2017.
