influenced by the outdoor furniture located throughout swiss architect pierre jeanneret’s ‘4J’ type house in chandigarh, india, the UNAM lounge chair by german designer sebastian herkner for very wood by gervasoni features a solid wood construction, and boasts clean lines and authentic materials. based on traditional aesthetics and production methods, the timber seating object revisits the classic weaving technique used in jeanneret’s original prototypes. available in two different backrest variations – one intertwined and one upholstered – its primary structure consists of simple wooden elements that give the lounge chair stability and define its proportion.
