sculptural motorcycle exposes its handmade saddle through hidden cutout

dismounted piece by piece and restored

dotto creations founders francesco iannuzzi and gianluca bartolini started with a 1979 honda cx500, which was dismantled completely to the bare metal and then restored. the designers sought to give a sculptural look to ‘biancaneve’ motorcycle ensuring a comfortable driving position.

a white organic-formed shell placed over the frame serves as the centerpiece of the vehicle, adding a smooth finish. a hidden cutout at the back enables the fairing to unfold in order to reveal a handmade alcantara and leather saddle.

discreet yet elegant touches

‘it wants to be a sculpture to look at when it’s parked and give a smooth experience when ridden,’ said the founders of dotto creations. the designers started to model the vehicle as a pure shape, with the result of a body that seems to flow even if it’s still. as they mention, they sought to generate a sculpture that can be driven; you open it, you sit on it, then you ride it.
