one of the venues at the cité du design was the bâtiment 335 where there is ‘l’appartement géant’, an exhibition of work by students from various institutions from france and europe. the show is meant to get visitors to explore their daily lifestyles and invite them to experiment with new objects that they could use within the home.

a group of found objects, chairs and drawers which have been assembled to make new pieces of furniture.

we dream that fruits, herbs and vegetables could be within reach. the geometry of this set of furniture and hanging gardens treats vegetation as a complementary element to the interior living space. the project is in collaboration with plant expert, philippe herman and designer paul bellila.

updating ordinary attitudes which have been forgotten because of their banality. this set of chairs is telling of our everyday behaviours of sitting. they represent the crossing of the legs, stretching one’s legs, bending over and sitting on each other’s lap.

it’s open season for the table. stalked, hunted and cut-up, the table is transformed into a carpet.

made from polymer powder, this is a vase for one flower. the form is based on the archetypal shape of a vase. the vertical nature of the flower stem inside contrasts with and highlights the vessel’s curves.
