new york based graphic designers stefan sagmeister and jessica walsh of sagmeister & walsh have visualized and produced a five part game show series, in which the creative duo battle it out in a handmade logo-making competition. after being approached by adobe to depict an interpretive graphic of their traditional brand mark, the two decided to pursue their familiar hands-on aesthetic by staging an elaborately crafted set on which they each design a unique logo in 10 minutes time using an eclectic assemblage of appropriated craft materials. the program of the show mirrors the classic tv format: three spinning wheels bear the names of various objects and items, from eggs to a pinata; each is spun by the show’s host, played by t0dd newton, who reads aloud the mediums that the contestants must use in the materialization and assembly of their interpretive emblem. when time runs out, the top design names that comprise the panel of judges — stefan bucher, jessica hische, joshua davis, noreen morioka — assess the success of each work, and dole out a grade from 1 to 5. take a look below for episodes 1, 2 and 3 already released from the series, where the score stands as stefan – 48 and jessica – 46.
