luxury luggage company RIMOWA collaborates with design studio NUOVA to launch its first-ever NFTs. called ‘blueprints from the metaverse’, the conceptual collection explores the future of travel and reimagines airline memorabilia using the german brand’s signature style and materials. the virtual time capsule includes a telescopic glass serving table and aerospace aluminum plates. all of the NFTs have been created by NUOVA to be carbon negative, offsetting seven tonnes of CO2.

a compartmented glass serving cart with storage for meals. made in murano, italy, the mobile unit features multiple iconic RIMOWA design features such as the multiwheel system and luggage strap. the dinner service apparatus houses up to 18 serving trays manufactured using RIMOWA’s aluminum material and aerospace grade aluminum to last the test of time.

a series of hand blown glassware apparatus for an in-flight dinner service featuring RIMOWA’s trademark riveted surfaces. the collection is mouth blown in murano, italy, and tailored for housing liquids ranging from whisky to water, and designed to be consumed during the experience.
RIMOWA x NUOVA NA–06-20 aerospace aluminum serving tray
materials: aerospace aluminum, LED
a serving surface with multi-functionality. designed as the storage component for the serving cart and for use during gastronomic consumption, the piece is engineered with an extruded aluminum profile based on RIMOWA’s trademark luggage seal. the lightweight trays will house the modular anodized aluminum servingware collection for the dinner service — each designed for different prepared meals as by chef recommendation.

a telescopic table providing functionality as a cocktail or meal table. utilizing components from RIMOWA’s telescopic luggage handle, and ultra-lightweight transparent aluminum for the surface, the table is designed and engineered to offer seamless adjustment for maximum comfort during dinner service.

a self-supported lighting system designed for to improve the overall travel experience. engineered using machined aluminum and faceted sheet stock as used for RIMOWA luggage, the system diffuses LED light through its frosted lens.
