Richard Yasmine debuts divine decadence at milan design week

Unveiling a world where opulence meets provocation, Divine Decadence by architect and designer Richard Yasmine is an art de la table collection. Set to debut at Milan Design Week 2025 within 5VIE at Le Cavallerizze, the collection presents a series of vases, vessels, reversible bowls, and candleholders sculpted from marble—some adorned with sharp stainless steel spikes, others left in unembellished purity. At the heart of each spiked piece, handcrafted jasmine flowers in double silk organza bloom, symbolizing fleeting beauty and temptation. With each object concealing a sculpted mother-of-pearl rod that slides discreetly within its form, the collection transforms into a provocative symbol: ‘the fruit of sin,’ an ode to seduction.

the collection combines the skills of six lebanese artisans

Through Divine Decadence, Lebanese interior architect Richard Yasmine crafts a narrative that combines functionality with eroticism. The mother-of-pearl rods, reminiscent of intimate objects, carry an undercurrent of daring subversion, while the combination of materials—cool marble, lustrous pearl, sharp metal, and fragile jasmine—creates a dialogue of contrasts.

Conceived and realized through the expertise of six Lebanese artisans, the collection weaves together silk flower making, wood carving, mother-of-pearl inlay, stainless steel work, crochet, and marble craftsmanship. Their mastery elevates each piece into an object of contemplation. The fluid progression of Divine Decadence, from delicate sensibility to dramatic expression, invites viewers into a world where the boundaries of indulgence and taboo dissolve, revealing a new language of design that is raw and human.
