Ressence adds more color to TYPE 1° Round M watch

Adding splashes of color to a polychromatic dial is what Ressence had in mind for its new TYPE 1° Round M timepiece. Multicolor watch discs encase the hours, minutes, and seconds of the sleek-looking accessory, playing with contrast and allowing the strokes of color to bring out the essence of time. The complementary red, blue, yellow, and green featured on the Hour, Minute, Second, and even Weekday discs of the TYPE 1° Round M watch underscore the soft hue of the light gray dial, making it easier for the wearer to read and tell the time.

Expanding the color territory of Ressence means retaining the signature sleek design of the watch. In fact, the TYPE 1° Round M watch links up the components with white straps and a steel rear to continue its minimal design and bring forth the burst of color taking place on the dial. The new addition to the TYPE 1 Round collection is a meetup between gentle primary colors and the rounded, tactile design of the case, a successful attempt to establish a harmonious flow between form, color, and material of the watch to create a visual experience akin to art viewing.

Self-winding Beyond the multicolor watch discs

Ressence founder Benoît Mintiens, whom we were fortunate to have spoken to in an interview, says that with the TYPE 1° Round Multicolor watch the design team traverses the realm of colors. ‘This watch embodies the principle of a functional color palette, combining soft hues to create a visually pleasing and practical timepiece. I have long wanted to bring a colorful watch to the core collection. With this new piece, owners are sure to make a strong and distinctive impression,’ he says. Numbers indicate that 40 jewels, 27 gears, 28,800 vibrations per hour, and 36 hours of power reserve are all packed into the new watch.

Beyond the multicolor watch discs, the numbers and indexes on the dial are colored in white, while the hands are doused in gray with a colored tip, bowing down to further introduce the red, blue, yellow, and green splashes of color. A self-winding feature means that the TYPE 1° Round M watch is simultaneously being wound just like any other Ressence offerings. The absence of a crown makes the watch visibly aligned and precise when viewed from afar. The TYPE 1° M watch will be available worldwide later this year on Ressence’s official retailer’s network.
