luca nichetto designs colosseum for creative conversation in stockholm

similar to the colosseum, the ‘ratatouille’ arena by luca nichetto is a unique vision where design and architecture meet in an open oval-shaped space. the installation references the historical setting of roman arenas as places for consuming food, watching shows and much more. as such, the space, which can be used as a bar and conference hall, is dedicated to design discussions, networking and educating at the 2018 stockholm furniture and light fair.

encompassing 2000 m², luca nichetto’s ‘ratatouille’ arena is contained within a perimeter of monumental elements that evoke the ruins of stonehenge. furthermore, between the symmetrical paths and functional areas, as if a french formal garden itself, lies an assortment of neutral toned designs including armchairs, sofas, lights, tables and accessories. as an arrangement of references to different eras, the space provides an exciting arena for creative conversations, while enjoying delicacies prepared by the chef lina ahlin.
