Amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Milan’s Zona Tortona district, visitors can immerse themselves in a captivating fusion of light, music, and visual artistry from April 16th to 21st.

presenting crystal pixels: reviving early digital art through light

This dynamic installation represents the company’s mastery in contemporary lighting design by fusing timeless artistry with cutting-edge technology. The Czech glass producer, known for their heritage of Bohemian crystal, continues to walk the fine line between modern design brand and traditional chandeliers since 2016. In 2024, and on the occasion of Milan Design Week, Preciosa’s playful creativity takes shape in an immersive installation that showcases their newest creation, Crystal Pixels. The pendants, in conjunction with a surrounding 3D sound system, craft a vibrant display of color and melody, blending nostalgia with contemporary expression to honor the essence of early digital art.

Inspired by pixel geometry, each pendant within the fully customizable lighting concept can be individually programmed to tailor ambient or functional lighting solutions. This innovative approach allows for versatile display options, whether used alone or clustered, offering three sizes, various colors, and diverse lighting effects to suit any ambiance.

The installation features 400 pendants that synchronize with the rhythmic melodies of 1980s-inspired music, illuminating in vibrant RGBW LED colors, marking Preciosa’s first time in showcasing an animated colorful lighting display. The company’s visionary creative team maintains a long- standing mission to bring light to life and connect with people through engaging and memorable experiences.
