for the ten year anniversary of prague designblok glass and crystal firm artĕl wanted to do something that would honor the country’s glass making traditions. owner karen feldman approached six distinct czech designers and asked them to design a set of four limited edition glasses using any of artĕl’s production techniques. eva eisler, zdenĕk lhotský, petr nikl, františek skála, studio olgoj chorchoj / michal fronĕk and maxim velčovský were invited to freely create motifs for the glasses which artel produced. each collection of glasses is as different from the next, but speak of the designer’s individual style.
