french studio, pitaya have designed ‘random8’, a seemingly transparent chair that changes in its appearance as light passes through it.
eight faceted pieces of clear dichroic plexiglass are braced between an open metal frame, transferring color and geometric patterns onto the surrounding walls, ceiling and floor. the chair is in constant play with its given environment, whether indoors or out, changing in color and intensity depending on the ambient light and viewing angle.
