‘pikkpack’ was formulated by designer sara gulyas, who turned her thesis project into a burgeoning fashion startup after a successful crowdfunding campaign. gulyas’ initial influence came from the traditional hungarian shoe called ‘bocskor’ – a design which uses a single piece of leather stitched together. the contemporary version adds a fun lighthearted nature to the sandal which embodies the DIY aesthetic attached to the cultural shoe making tradition.
