philippe starck and s. schito’s ‘lady hio’ collection of dinning tables for glas italia shown at salone del mobile, are characterised by their tubular legs, blown and moulded in borosilicate glass. the hand crafted furniture comes in three transparent colors: yellow, warm grey and orange. the series consists of a circular and rectangular table, both of which contain specially finished feet in brushed and anodized aluminum. the transparent nature of the product highlights the conjoining components of the legs making them the feature element within the design. the use of coloured glass combined with these specific details creates a modern, elegant dinning table.
