petteri hakkinen has introduced ‘nook’, a simple single-material product that functions as a partition element. the design was created for isku, a finnish business that manufactures furniture and offers comprehensive interior solutions for various private and public facilities. originally conceived from a pedagogical point of view, the nook works as a versatile tool for modern learning environments.

the nook den encourages team work, creativity, logical thinking, and problem solving skills. it also provides a novel approach to acoustic management in open spaces. it is an eco-friendly product made of recycled PET-plastic bottles and it is 100% recyclable itself. nook is the winner of the best sustainable and ecological product in the GESS education 2020 awards in dubai.
