patrick norguet: kobi chair for alias‘kobi’ by patrick norguet for alias
french designer patrick norguet has completed ‘kobi’, an armchair for italian furniture manufacturer alias. for the seat, a woven soldered round steel wire basket is supported by a cast aluminum belt. the seat cushion, which partially or entirely covers the metal structure, visually completes the piece while making the chair more comfortable for longer lounging. the legs are made from stove-enamelled aluminum which is either left exposed or finished with an oak veneer.
‘kobi’ was on show at salone del mobile during milan design week 2012.
