origami is an experimental arabic font influenced by the art of paper folding

mostafa el abasiry’s origami SVG font simulates basic paper folding shapes in a geometric structure that replicates the arabic letterforms. the colored font comes in two styles, note pad and color paper, and is designed to suit a various creative projects.

in an interesting combination of the ancient language with a modern material, mostafa el abasiry uses lined paper to outline the form of arabic characters. the experimental SVG font is the result of the graphic and type designer’s fascination with the union of typography and geometry.
