In the spirit of a total work of art, Occhio opens ‘new horizons’ exhibition in the glass pavilion of the legendary Villa Necchi Campiglio. On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2023, the German company invites visitors to immerse themselves into a show of multi-sensory staging and conceptual product layout with an insight into the future of light. Amongst other products, Occhio also sheds light on its latest Luna series, set to be revealed for the first time during the exposition.

As a transcendental space, ‘new horizons’ offers an unprecedented experience for all the senses. In the green oasis of Villa Necchi Campiglio away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Occhio puts together a hollistic exhibition that looks over the current and future culture of light. The installation symbolizes the new, the unknown, and the opening up of areas that exceed people’s imagination by bringing together a product presentation distant from reality. As a whole, the place embodies the vision of Occhio’s new culture of light.

occhio reveals novelty series LUNA

Meaning moon in English, Luna is Occhio’s 2023 novelty first revealed to the public during Milan Design Week 2023. As if floating like a celestial body in the shining glass sphere, the series is available in three different sizes with a mirrored head or base, depending on whether it is adapted as a ceiling, table, wall or suspended lamp.

Luna is the first series to feature Occhio´s own patented light source Fireball, which inside the mirrored glass sphere creates a soft, glare-free yet directed light. For further attention to detail, a luster poured over the translucent sphere from above creates an elegant sheen and gives the product its distinctive presence, which can be finished in dark chrome or phantom. With simple gestures or the company’s air app, the light can be dimmed, switched on or off, and change its color temperature from an inviting warm mood to a stimulating cool atmosphere.
