those who have previously been aware of occhio mainly as a specialist in top-quality lighting systems will discover an entirely new side to the firm with this new product range. occhio+ represents an expansion of the munich lighting company’s product portfolio that combines four product groups under one heading. these are specially intended for lighting design concepts for entire buildings and are thus specifically aimed at architects and planners.

at the munich location of coworking provider design offices, over seven floors around 9,000 sqm of office and conference rooms, as well as the lounge areas, are holistically illuminated by occhio

one such group comprises occhio’s pro lighting options, for which the company is stripping all its lighting series down to the essentials. less relevant features such as gesture control have thus been omitted for this project, guaranteeing the greatest compatibility and maximum light intensity at the best possible prices. constant-current-based power is provided via a range of different external electronic control units. this enables the lighting to be controlled as required – including via existing building technology and bus systems such as DALI and KNX.

reduced to its essentials, mito volo pro does without features less relevant to the project environment, such as gesture control or »color tune«. this brings cost savings while ensuring comprehensive compatibility with building technology and bus systems

occhio pure luminaires become one with the room. thanks to their unframed installation panels, the canopies of the pendant luminaires disappear almost invisibly into the hollow ceilings. spotlights like the wallwasher mito alto side pure maintain a discreet background presence whilst the various models of integrated spotlights in the più, io and lui series are natural minimalists.

in addition, occhio+ enhances any public space with a symbiosis of optimum light and improved room acoustics. occhio acoustic luminaires make up a second, homogenous layer of circular and rectangular acoustic panels beneath the ceiling. available as flush-mounts or pendants, the panels are made from high-density polyester fleece covered with interchangeable fabric and provide true sound absorption. the panels can be combined with luminaires from the mito and mito linear series.

intuitive control functions supplement holistic lighting design. occhio air plus expands the company’s occio air bluetooth controls with functions such as motion indicators and automated lighting, along with presence and brightness sensors and control of larger networks. using the sync function, lights can be synchronized and collectively controlled via gesture control or click. this is even possible remotely, via a gateway control.

in addition to gesture control, the mito terra free-standing luminaire is equipped with motion and brightness sensors. this allows automated control of light color and intensity depending on presence, time of day and ambient light
