brazilian studio, nódesign, has created ‘pop-up’ exhibition modules for a travel show entitled jovens designers.

the exhibit aimed to promote student work and had to be versatile and inexpensive to produce, to install, and easy to use. five transportable wooden crates contain paper shelves that fold out in a honeycomb pattern, acting as continuous horizontal surfaces for display. the compact paper pattern ensures that it is strong enough to hold the objects in place while the holes allow the lamp poles to be plugged into the paper pockets.

the entire installation takes four people and one day to assemble. when the exhibition needs to be dismantled, the paper snake folds back into the container.
