NIKE unveils the NIKE GO FlyEase, an easy-on, easy off no-lace sneaker

NIKE has unveiled the NIKE GO FlyEase, a contact-less, easy-on, easy off sneaker. the design evidences how innovation and engineering come together to answer an ambitious question: how to put your shoes on and off without using your hands.

the NIKE GO FlyEase allows users to wear their shoes without even touching them with their hands thanks to a smooth motion generated by a bi-stable hinge that enables the shoe to be secure in fully open and fully closed states. this is complemented by a tensioner that, through its unique flexibility, chargers an action many take for granted — kicking-off a shoe — and completely reimagines this movement as the basis for accessible and empowering design.

‘usually I spend so much time to get in my shoes,’ says champion fencer bebe vio. ‘with the NIKE GO FlyEase, I just need to put my feet in and jump on it. the shoes are a new kind of technology, not only for adaptive athletes but for everyone’s real life.’

priced at USD$120, the NIKE GO FlyEase will be available initially via invite for some NIKE members, and will be available for the broader public later this year.
