Returning with another limited edition collection of quirky purses inspired by everyday objects, Nik Bentel teams up with Absolut Vodka to present the statement Absolut Espresso Martini Handbag. Looking to the trending espresso martini cocktail, the accessory imagines how a slender coupe glass filled to the brim with the classic drink would look as a quirky fashion statement that can fit your belongings inside. 

Like his previous Pasta Bag and Shipping Box Bag, the Absolut Espresso Martini Bag seeks to ‘inspire a bit of thought and reflection on being able to create something exciting from the everyday’. It was launched as an exclusive collection of 200 units on his website on November 25th, priced at $199.

a perfect holiday accessory by nick bentel 

The Absolut Espresso Martini Handbag collection follows on from Nik Bentel’s previous explorations of mundane, everyday objects and materials reimagined as playful fashion accessories, including a classic pasta box transformed into a mini purse, and vegan leather handbag inspired by a cardboard shipping box.

After the previous collections were met with exciting response — selling out almost immediately and reselling online for upwards of $1,000 — the designer now looks to bring the iconic martini beyond the bar and onto your shoulder. A big fan of coffee in general, Bentel came up with the idea while attempting to make an espresso martini at home, and began working on creating the perfect holiday accessory. 

Nik Bentel collaborates with Absolut Vodka

Designed with premium vodka brand Absolut, the handbag features a small detachable purse pouch made of leather. Its brown and cream body, garnished delicately with three coffee beans, has been molded to fit perfectly inside a tritan plastic coupe glass and sits in place held by a magnet. A fashionable chromed steel chain is attached to the glass’ rim and stem allowing you wear the bag around your wrist, or you can wear it on your shoulder using the detachable crossbody leather strap. Coinciding with Black Friday, the purse was launched on Nik Bentel’s official website on November 25th.
