commissioned by italian leather goods company tod’s, japanese designer nendo has created a bag that changes shape in accordance to what it holds inside. in its extended form, the satchel is able to hold a full-size A3 drawing, as well as additional room for material samples.

folding nendo’s bag in half creates two spaces where you can store A4 sized drawings and documents, while the middle part of the flex section houses rolled-up drawings, heavy catalogs or books, and samples of construction materials. the two handles can also be stowed away, meaning that the product can be transformed into a clutch bag when there are fewer things to carry. featured in the front center of the bag is tod’s signature ‘stripe’ mark, reaffirming the association with the company’s other products.
