‘zigzag mirror’ by MUT design
composed of facets of varying dimensions, arranged according to size and set at 45 degree angles, ‘zigzag’ mirror, created by MUT design, offers alternative reflections and views of the space in which it is installed. depending on the position of the user, the reflective surfaces provide different views of the same thing, simultaneously. the non-mirrored sides of each modular component are painted in gradated color palettes, suggesting fields of vision and optical illusions to those who are passing by. the modularity and simple mounting system of ‘zigzag mirror’, creates a sculptural installation whereby the final results of its set-up, depend on the individuals who engage with it.
