monica förster’s savannah sofa features wood frame wrapped in leather
monica förster pays tribute to the quality materials and unique craftsmanship of erik jørgensen furniture, by designing a collection of seating pieces that bring forth the danish brand’s signature qualities. ‘savannah’ has been hand-constructed in wood by a master joiner, and is characterized by a heavy saddleback leather which wraps around the frame, creating a soft but durable sofa. details of the timber components peek through the leather wrapping, revealing the artistry that goes into completing each piece. ‘savannah’ is further defined by a high-back which offers comfortable sitting, with hand-sewn cushions offering additional coziness. ‘savannah’ is also accompanied by an armchair and is being presented at 3 days of design in copenhagen from may 28th-30th, 2015.
