italian-based MM design firm has created a centre ball head for the gitzo tripods, adding features like extreme balance and versatility. it was engineered and developed to be the ideal complement to the already precise tripods. by using tungsten disulfide, one of the smoothest materials known to science, the ball glides gently allowing for low friction and almost none ‘stick-slip’. on the other hand, the use of hard metal components under and around the ball give strong locking with minimum effort.

MM design has thus created an extremely compact form where volumes are reduced to the essential. the collar – the product’s distinctive mark – enables the ball device to perform all the movements possible, and allow the camera to be fixed in all the desired positions.
