this fully restored classic mercedes-benz limo is on sale for $2.75 million

back in 1963, daimler-benz presented the mercedes-benz W100 600 at the frankfurt IAA motorshow, generating great sensation. designed as an exclusive representative vehicle for the highest demands, the model was equipped with special technical features as standard, which were all unique overall and represented the state of the art at the time. the car featured, for the first time, a V8 injection engine as the drive unit, generating an output of 250 hp and a maximum torque of 51 mpg from a displacement of 6.3l. by connecting it with the standard built-in automatic transmission, they were able to achieve sports car performance — the almost 2.5 tons car reached a top speed of over 205 km/h and could accelerate from 0 to 100km in just 10 seconds.

the mercedes-benz W100 600 was equipped with air suspension, power steering and central locking, as well as with an electronically-controlled heating and ventilation system, ensuring great operation and maximum comfort. a unique comfort hydraulic system enabled the automatic handling of the following functions: horizontal and vertical adjustment of the front seats and adjustment of the backrest angle, adjustment of the rear bench seat in the longitudinal direction, opening and closing of the car doors, the trunk lid and the optional sliding roof as well as opening and closing of the side windows.

dubbed the big mercedes, the car began production in 1964. it was available in a five to six-seater as well as a three seven to eight seat pullman variants: a four-door pullman sedan with rear seats facing each other. vis-à-vis arrangement, a six-door pullman limousine with bench in the rear and additional folding seats facing the direction of travel and a pullman landaulet.

today, mechatronik is offering a 600 pullman for 2.320.500,- € (incl. 19% VAT). this model was delivered to lebanon in 1975 in an anthracite gray metallic color. mercedes-benz classic acquired the vehicle in malaga in february 2007, where it has been since 1997. after purchasing it in 2007, mercedes-benz classic immediately began a restoration that was unique to date. at the customer’s request, the vehicle was completely dismantled and, once the restoration was complete, it was supposed to strike a special balance between the historic mercedes-benz 600 pullman and the comfort of the maybach series, which was current at the time.
