marcus tremonto’s foiLED again series of formable copper lights

marcus tremonto of studio treluce brings forth a series of formable copper lighting objects. ‘foiLED again’ is a family of  handmade luminaires which are composed of a metallic sheet (nearly as thin as a sheet of paper), that can easily be flat packed and shaped into multiple configurations by the user. the pieces are each embedded with tiny micro LEDs that create a warm and cool luminosity when reflected against the copper material, allowing them to dictate the direction and intensity of the light. the 9″ x 12″ limited edition (200) table top lamps, and one-off 18″ x 35″ ‘ifos ii’ large suspended hanging version, were presented at spazio rossana orlandi during milan design week.
