make your own super-cat sculpture at home

zalyaev converted his design blocks into downloadable PDFs for the curious ones among us to use and build their very own, infinitely long cat. the current 3D model ‘is about 5 meters long. but this is not the limit, you can collect 10 or even 100 meters. it all depends on your desire. you just need to print out the template on a colored paper, cut polygonal parts, fold and glue it together.’  shares the designer.  the DIY PDF template is available here. 

the paper sculpture is originally composed of 18 blocks and 36 legs

marat zalyaev envisioned the papercraft  as an art object to display on a table or high shelf

the sculpture can reach up to 100 meters with the DYI PDF templates

it took 2 months of work and 50 A3 sheets to bring INDIE CAT to life
