Mara, the historic Italian company specialized in the production of aesthetic and functional furnishing systems and elements, was founded in 1960. The brand includes a large, continuously growing collection of furniture for the office, the community and everyday life. In minimal and contemporary design dialogues, the diverse products ensure maximum comfort, ease of use and effectiveness.

For Salone del Mobile 2023, Mara participates with a pavilion rich of versatile proposals that seek well-being at home and the office. While playing with reality, overturning canons and expectations within the setting, Mara Design Show now goes beyond the usual boundaries to conquer the domestic scenarios, where it fits in expressing a new personality, combining ergonomics with comfort and practicality.

‘FOLLOW’ MARA TO THE MEETING TABLE

Meeting and relationship are the center of the project with the Follow Meeting collection of round tables, which find their place in contemporary living spaces thanks to their aesthetic cleanliness and curvilinear design. The primary quality of the line is the exclusive and patented height adjustability of the top (with the simple touch of a handle), which allows a desirable working position with also offering the opportunity to transform the dining function into a cocktail bar.

This also applies to the Follow Meeting Large model, which is characterized not only by its large, adjustable table top (up to 3000 mm), but also by its double steel base. The wide range of colors and finishes allows the entire collection to be customized in multiple combinations.

The sit-stand tables collection is enriched with Follow Meeting Cone, which softens the central column with a conical base, designed also for residential spaces. The top and the base feature a geometry that generates a sculptural element for interiors with the most varied formal expressions, while the wide range of colors and finishes allows the entire series to be customized in multiple combinations.

More compact, but just as dynamic, is Follow Me. Conceived as a travel trolley, the multitasking table varies its nature depending on its location whether used as a console table at the entrance, desk for the home office or writing desk for the sleeping area. Space-saving and height-adjustable, it facilitates everyday activities with practicality and a discreet presence, especially thanks to the wheels that make it so easy to move.

The Libro table series is the highlight of the space-saving table ranges that includes Argo, Timmy, and Savio Compact. Available in a wide range of sizes, the series is characterized by its mechanical locking system which, together on castors makes the product easy to maneuverable. The tables can be placed in small rooms and once stored, allow more space to be obtained. Moreover, the products are smart and safe to use thanks to Mara’s patented anti-shock system that protects users’ hands while opening/closing.

Seating collection Icon is realized with the creative contribution of Marcello Ziliani and conceived with a transversal identity to fluidly cross hospitality as much as residential. With refined aesthetics, the series encompasses comfort thanks to a wide and soft cushioning made of molded foam. Further comfort is added thanks to the movement of the backrest that is detached from the seat, thus offering an ergonomic reinterpretation of traditional cockpit seating. Overall, Icon represents the outcome of in-depth research and experimentation carried out by the company to push the boundaries of design and explore new spaces and uses.
