playing with scale and function, the team at LEGO group creates a set of wooden homeware, with pieces that stack like their iconic bricks. the collection was designed together with danish brand room copenhagen and includes picture frames, wall hangers, book racks, and desk drawers. because each piece is crafted according to the original dimensions of LEGO bricks, the desk drawers and picture frames can be stacked into unique configurations.

room copenhagen has partnered with LEGO since 2010 to introduce oversized building bricks, reimagined into functional objects for interiors. until now, their LEGO-turned-homeware pieces have been built of plastic in bold toylike colors — ideal for a child’s playroom. this latest collection is suited for those with design and sustainability in mind.

responsible wooden homeware

the wooden homeware collection by LEGO (see more here) and room copenhagen (see more here) is built from red oak certified by the forest stewardship council (FSC) — meaning the wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests. not only is the collection created with environmental sustainability in mind, it boast a sleek and minimalist design. suiting a range of interiors, each item is available in either a soaped oak and dark stained oak finish.
