‘geometry of sensibus’ rug collection by lazerian
manchester-based studio lazerian has conceived a collection of carpets which are carefully crafted by traditional rug makers with over 90 years of experience. handmade using wool from new zealand, each piece takes an average 3 to 4 weeks to develop. the series titled ‘geometry of sensibus’ is influenced by the geometry of the five human senses – touch, smell, sight, taste and hearing. from this, the patterns are then modelled with 3D computer software where their basic wireframe gives a sense of depth to a flat product.
