kuddelmuddel lamp by tobias reischle for ingo maurerdetail of diffuser ‘kuddelmuddel’ falls into the sculptural category of task lighting. it uses a 60W G9 halogen lamp. the 8cm diameter-base houses a toggle switch and the flexible cable arm measures 70cm. produced by ingo maurer.

 

tobias reischle was born in germany in 1973. educated as a cabinet-maker and industrial designer, receiving his master’s degree in design at the academy of fine arts in saar, germany in 1999. tobias has worked as a designer in auckland, new zealand in 1998. in 1999 he relocated to new york city where he worked as a senior designer for karim rashid for three years. reischle now works independently on several art and design projects. among many clients, he freelances also for ingo maurer in munich, germany.

tobias has participated in designboom’s rocking chairs competition with sub_t non commissioned public furniture, this great example of urban furniture design has been developed and donated to the community.
