margus triibmann of design studio KEHA3, designed a series of underwater mine-like lights for a staircase of a navy school in the estonian city of tallinn. the spherical lanterns were derived from the building’s roots; which was originally built to store mines in the early 20th century. in the century since its construction, the structure has seen a range of activities take place within its walls, nearly all of which involved with maritime warfare. the installed lights compliment renovations completed by jvr architects.
