JUNG PRESENTS POP-UP EXHIBITION ‘invisible’

JUNG immerses people in an abstracted world of smart home technology illusions through temporary exhibition Invisible. From 17-23 April, 2023, the German-based company finds its home in the Brera Design District of Milan and makes the unseen the topic of discussion. Along with hidden device communication, smart sustainability and digital artworks, JUNG goes POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol) during Milan Design Week, offering visitors free NFT souvenirs.

unseen connections become visible

During Milan Design Week 2023, JUNG‘s Invisible pop-up installation encourages visitors to talk about the hidden, representing the company’s mindset of prioritizing action over big words. As in previous years, the event is held in a romantic backyard of a small ballet school in Via Palermo, right in the heart of Milan. The organizer, Professor Tina Kammer of InteriorPark (see here), artistically renders corporate and product aspects tangible that could otherwise only be captured in words, connecting room surfaces with unseen connections that become visible through color contrasts, three-dimensional effects and optical illusions.

JUNG´s latest evolutionary step – the JUNG HOME system – isn´t visible on the products themselves

Invisible is temporary yet durable as the walls are made of recycled paper and hand painted by Mural Artist JayMT, the storage boxes returned to the brand’s production facilities, and the display elements used repeatedly at trade fairs. To add to the sense of abstraction, spherical sounds composed by DJ Jens Herzberg echo as ERCO’s lighting concept plays with the effect of visual perception.

JUNG HOME is a new smart home technology – all components communicate wirelessly

JUNG HOME ‘smartifies’ buildings without the internet. From the power socket with an energy measurement function to the room thermostat, all the components communicate wirelessly with each other via the secure, global Bluetooth® Mesh radio standard. This system isn’t visible on the intelligent products themselves, yet they look like switches and sockets in a wide range of colors. The company though, already offers various solutions for equipping smart buildings such as the simple LB-Management system, the retrofit eNet variant and comprehensive control via KNX technology. Users thus have the option of choosing different degrees of automation.

During Milan Design Week, the brand offers all early adopters the opportunity to receive an authentic and free-of-charge JUNG NFT (non-fungible token). The idea behind this is that every encounter between people is unique, while the place and time of the connection are secured by this digital collector’s item through  a technology based on POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol).
