korean designer joongho choi, has designed the new ‘bover’ american dining restaurant, in seoul, using a luxurious palette of warm and cool shades of grey. the interior is divided into three sections; dinning hall, bar and lounge space. the front of the building uses a glass facade which allows light to pour into all areas, providing customers with a complimentary view of the namsan mountain facing the city.
in the dining hall, a chandelier made from around 70 crystals is hung from the ceiling
the bar and lounge space is situated at the front of the entrance, which allows guests to wind down and relax with a cocktail before enjoying an exquisite cuisine. a glittering chandelier stands at the center of the interior, which uses 70 individual crystals, constructed specifically to reflect incoming light from outside.
the drink bar and dining hall
the central dining hall stands behind the bar and features four seater marble tables, a single seater fabric sofa, and wooden chairs which have been designed by joongho choi. a gold framework surrounding the layout, intrinsically links all of the different areas together, whilst creating a fine embellishment upon the room.

the framework is repeated onto the moldings on the surrounding walls, which use simple linear gold shapes to provide a decorative impression. the overall layout responds to the outside scene, through the subtle choice of earthy tones and use of natural materials, creating a sophisticated yet relaxed environment which customers can enjoy season after season.
