the ‘half half’ collection by jinsik kim is an experimental study into the potentials of stone and metal. using a geometrical structure — the collection is available in square or circular — the object functions interchangeably as a small side table and stool. highly mirrored stainless steel sheet metal contrasts and reflects against the natural elegance of various kinds of stone. ‘half half’ is a functional sculpture in line with the typically luxurious offerings by kim.
