jean nouvel has designed a pair of sneakers for italian brand ruco line. the ‘pure’ capsule collection marks the french architect’s foray into fashion and has been conceived to bring forth the most essential of forms for a shoe–simple and contoured. made from high-quality leather in either white, black, yellow or fluorescent pink, the sensible silhouette of the footwear is marked by a very particular graphic detail–a stamp on the boot’s upper which indicates its style and colour code, product name and date of production.

the shoes make their international debut at milan design week 2013, presented within the courtyard of the università degli studi di milano as part of the INTERNI hybrid architecture and design exhibition which runs from april 8th – 21st, 2013.
