jaime hayon updates gardenias collection with monkey side table for BD barcelona
for the past several years, jaime hayon‘s ‘gardenias’ collection has evolved — originally starting out in 2013 as an outdoor furniture set, it is now also envisioned for use indoors. developed for BD barcelona, the ‘gardenias’ collection on show at the 2015 salone del mobile, has been updated with the ‘monkey’ side table, made from solid architectural concrete serving as a sculpture; and new finishes for the multileg cabinet, lounger, and low lounger armchairs in natural oak.

the ‘gardenias’ collection expresses a personality and elegance, with the right point of romanticism and versatility, making it ideal for both home and contract use. the outdoor pieces stand with the purpose of recuperating classic furniture for the garden, with a contemporary style; while the indoor collection — comprised of an armchair and a sofa — is presented with sophisticated imagery, presented with new finishes and upholstery.
