With 65 years of experience in architectural lighting, the Italian brand continues to strive for an approach to light, driven by connectivity, technology, optics research and environmental responsibility. In 2024, iGuzzini fortifies the relationship between aesthetics with performance with its Filorail and Sipario ranges. Designed for museums, retail spaces, hospitality, and living areas, each product ensures visual comfort while embodying the company’s commitment to sustainability through easily recyclable materials and repairability features, and a highly efficient lighting performance with low energy consumption.
Filorail is designed to freely use technology in any living environment, without adding formal content typical of the professional world
Filorail: A Symphony of Invisibility and Performance
Filorail represents a revolution in electrified track systems, designed to integrate into spaces while delivering exceptional performance. Measuring a mere 3.6 millimeters in opening, the product achieves near invisibility, offering micro connections for the attachment of spotlights and other lighting systems. This structural installation not only redefines the possibilities of museum and exhibition space design but also extends its applications to living spaces, retail, and hospitality. iGuzzini’s low-voltage lighting systems, including Newfo, Libera pendant, Palco LV, Robin, Laser Blade XS, and Laser, merge with Filorail, presenting a fusion of aesthetic subtlety and superior lighting capabilities.
Sipario is a system destined to expand in many variations, becoming a large family of professional projectors
Sipario: Bridging Technology and Aesthetics
Sipario, a new addition to iGuzzini’s arsenal, emerges as a professional spot designed for museums, retail spaces, hospitality, and living areas. Inspired by space exploration and precision optical instruments, Sipario features OptiBeam technology, a triad of lenses, reflectors, and refractories that allows for versatile lighting effects.
This system, adaptable for various scenarios, boasts a practical push&go coupling mechanism for easy accessory changes, as well as wireless management through the iGuzzini Easy Dimming App. The product’s patented OptiBeam optic ensures high efficiency and visual comfort while embodying iGuzzini’s commitment to sustainability through easily recyclable materials and repairability features.
Sipario is built starting from a decidedly technological formal inspiration, borrowed from the world of space exploration and high precision optical instruments
Light+Building Exhibition: Light and Architecture
iGuzzini’s Light+Building 2024 exhibition is a collaboration with Studio GEZA for the exhibit and Artec Studio for Lighting Scenography and lighting design, resulting in an immersive experience highlighting the brand’s innovative approach to light. Under the theme ‘Light that moves,’ iGuzzini’s core philosophy is expressed through a rich narrative that immerses visitors in the brand’s innovative offerings. The exhibit features three islands within an ephemeral architecture, each showcasing the company’s technical, graphic, and architectural prowess spanning Culture, Working, Hospitality & Living, Retail, Urban, and Infrastructures. Collaborating with lighting designer Maurici Gines, the display puts together humanistic and technological research, providing an immersive, multi-sensory experience.
As part of the exhibition, iGuzzini unveils Connectivity Beyond Light, showcasing innovations beyond lighting. The range includes functions such as sound absorption, integration of sensors, video cameras, loudspeakers, and the Jiminy app, which enables smart services and notifications for an optimized visitor experience.
Sipario’s patented OptiBeam optic is the result of iGuzzini’s in-house research
