IED masters in product design – young creatives at work.
want to become an explorative, open minded multi-tasker, while gaining practical hands-on and business experience in the design world?
IED (instituto europeo di design) offers a masters course in product design that allows you to define your own identity, shaping your creative development and versatility for different prospective careers in the industry; while offering you the opportunity to express your ideas outside of the classroom, through real world, hands-on experience — something which is highly sought after in the current market.
antigone acconci can attest to the teachings and practical skills of the masters in product design at IED. having arrived in milan in 2004 with the desire to translate her passion for design into a profession, she attended the program at IED (formerly know as masters in design packaging) to nurture and enhance her design methodologies, and forge business relationships with the italian industry, to help her move forward in her chosen career path. ‘at IED, I had the chance to interact directly with real companies working with marketing and product managers. I was considered a real professional, and this allowed me to expose my projects even during my course of study, meanwhile building up my own professional network‘, she says.

developing a unique mind-set and skills, this gave her the confidence to take the lead in her professional career as an interior design consultant, co-founding A / R studio with riccardo bastiani; and becoming a member of IED’s faculty in 2007.
‘if you consider my path with the studio A / R, my work as a designer and my experience with the school, I think I’ve created my personal framework which I put all my efforts into, but I’m also receiving a lot of satisfaction and benefits in return… and I’m quite sure this is long way far from finished‘, acconci continues.

all of acconci’s experience — most recently acting as a member of the team that will work on the italian pavilion at the upcoming expo 2015 in milan — reflects the multi-disciplinary and open approach demanded from the market, of all young creatives looking to move forward in the design industry.
