10 iconic chairs drawn using a single line in minimal illustrations by loooop studio

‘we love chairs’ is a passion project by paris-based loooop studio that reinterprets 10 iconic chairs into minimal line drawings. from mies van der rohe’s unmistakable barcelona chair to eero aarnio’s playful hanging bubble, each classic piece is traced using a single line. as well as showcasing the timeless curves of famous designs, the project also travels through history to create a timeline, with each chair symbolizing an essential moment in the evolution of design.

in addition to the celebration of these classics through minimalist line art, loooop studio has also crafted vibrant illustrations of certain details that paint each design in a more abstract light. much has changed in design over this 109-year span, but designer ludwig mies van der rohe’s sentiment remains the same: ‘less is more’.
